Ranger 2002 vacuum hose connection
Hi everyone... I am new here
II took my car to the garage to change one valve. Mechanic did the job but definitely had issues with coupling. Especially with the vacuum hose. Now I have two ends of the vacuum hose labelled with numbers 2 & 10 and I don't know where they fit in. Please can any one help solve this. Also I can send pictures if need be.
Does this also affect the ac vent blowing onlythrough defrost vent?

What valve was changed?
The vacuum hoses in question are under dash or in engine compartment?
Are they on passenger side or drivers side?
Are they large hoses like PCV valve or smaller hoses?
Are they hard plastic or rubber hoses?
There should be a vacuum diagram on the rad support/hood latch cross plate

Thanks Ron D I checked the vacuum diagram on the rad and I found that the hose was suppose to be connected to something near the abs system. Now all the hose is fixed I still don't know why only defrost vent still works. Once I fixed this by connecting a misplaced hose in the round vacuum cylinder. But now it has gone back to normal.
All these are in the engine compartment
