ive searched and i know people get a cel but i have a 94 4.0 and i looked and the o2 sensors are before the cats... would it be alright to replace the cats with a cherry bomb? thanks

 

Do you mean, take the cats off and just run a cherry bomb muffler or run a cherry bomb and then another muffler

I've seen that work numerous times. One of the most recent was actually a ranger where he cut the cats off, and over 60 the truck would cut off. We welded in a glasspack(cherrybomb), and the truck was running normal with no CEL's and I think it was a 2000+ but not really sure

 

ok thanks for the reply... i have a flowmaster in there already but im pretty sure the cats are bad.. the only cats i can find on island are 250+ hi flow cats so i just wanted to replace with a cherry bomb (25 at checkers)

 

you should be able to find magnaflow high flo cats for cheap

 

im not too sure but i think thats the ones i was quoted.... im just looking for a cheap fix if they work then after i save ill put hi flow cats in.. lol

 

i am tinking of doing the same thing as you i was looking at a cherry bomb flyer.
for the cats thay had a class pack in and the muffler was the cherry bomb votex

 

just run replace it with pipe its much cheaper i have straight pipes on my ranger and it runs just fine
