So my explorer kicked the bucket. Need some advice.
Hello everyone,
so my explorers timing finally died, i procrastinated and i paid the price. Timing spun, went out of time and engine seized. I will most likely rebuild this one if possible in the future but in the meantime I bought a used engine with lower miles. Was told around 60k miles, which looking at valve train it looks good and valid.
I want to pre-emptively change the timing guides. I inspected them on the new engine and while they don't look that bad, i want to make it last a while. Chain looks new, only timing guide rails worry me.
What do you guys recommend i change to make it last me another 100k miles.
Thank you guys!
