supercharger and intercooler!

I have an 04 ranger 4.0L and I was wondering about a supercharger and Intercooler. I have seen those kits for the 4.0L mustang. I was wondering is I could get the applicable kit for a mustang that compairs to the motor in my truck and costum fit it to my truck. Any info on this would be helpfull

There is alot more than just slapping on a blower. Im currently working on supercharging my mustang. You have to get the blower, pipping, intercooler(cooler IATs),fuel pump, injectors, spark plugs, and a good dyno tune if you want to be safe. Theres alot to supercharging and doing it right.

dont supercharge the sohc unless you have seriously built it unless your only pumping only a small amount of boost in which case is not worth it. read this article you it will teach you a couple things, http://www.supersixmotorsports.com/pdf/40SOHCTech.pdf .

thanks

I know there is more to it than just slappi9ng it on. I was wanting to get the ins and outs to it to do it right and it last. I know old school non computerised motors not the new stuff. Ill check out that link you sent. I figured that when I did put one on i would pull the motor and rebuild it but initally i was wanting to see if jsut thge basic thought would work. once that is confermed or blown out of the water i would get the details on how to do it.

X2 to the V8 torque.
An old saying, horsepower looks and sounds cool, but torque wins races.

Most people posting have no knowledge of the kit currently avail. Check eBay for "rpcaster" he makes a kit that adds some hp via a m90 and s safe for the engine as shown through peoples experiences.
