Which magnaflow

Hey all, I have been researching the whole muffler thing and have decided on the magnaflow. Now........which one????? There are quite a few. there is a 11 or 13 inch i believe, and an 18 inch. I want the aluminized and I'm goin 2.25 and 2.25. I just wanna replace the muffler is all. I have heard some nasty sounding magnaflows on these trucks and I want the nastiest loudest one. I know it won't be as loud as the Flows, but that is the point. I want good sound with a lil less volume and drone. Thanks

'normal' muffler cases are generally 13" long. All 40 series flowmasters are 13" length's.

are you serious?? nastiest loudest magnaflow on a ranger?? they dont exist!! sure they sound good...nice good performance sound. but loud and nasty? i think not. Flow44FTW!

x2, if you want something deep and nasty you need to go with a flowmaster.

well I don't really want "nasty" per se. But i want a good sound. Am I correct that you almost cannot hear the magnaflow inside until higher rpm's?
I am just looking for what would be the best sounding one of the bunch that they make. I had a 40 delta flow on my 2.5 2000 ranger, and I liked it. It wasn't as loud as some would think, but it did have the drone, which I don't want with this truck. I bought with 35000 on it, and plan on having it for a long time. I jut want a muffler that I am not gonna "out-grow". If I want loud I'll fire up my Suzuki SV1000 with race pipes and **** off the neighbors.

good sound? ya...magnaflow.

nasty, loud, and good sound? ya...flow.

you wont have much drone at all IF you have an exit for the exhaust(like out the back, stock like). you had a flow on a 4cyl...that must have been hell on your ears. lol. The 4.0L SOHC is actually quite tame even with a flow attached to it.

I plan on replacing the stock muffler. So I'll retain the stock tailpipe. I may go ahead and cut it a lil shorter so I can weld on a nice tip. I dunno bout that yet tho

I don't think I'd ever describe a Ranger exhaust as loud and nasty, well not in a good way atleast LOL. Flowmasters are ****ty mufflers for performance, but I think they sound alright on Rangers. From all the clips I've heard the Magnaflows sound more like a V6 if that makes sense, they sound higher pitched and louder which IMO isn't something I'd want. Go with a Flowmaster.

you really cannot compare those two vids....both are different exits, and both are of differnet angles. plus...they're vids on youtube...all cams are different. lol.

flows are deeper than the magnaflows ive heard. i've got a super44 and its one deep mother and i love it. deep, loud, powerful. i love it. it's perfect for the 4.0 SOHC imo.

magnaflow has a great sound, it's louder than stock, but not much...and that's on a truck that has full magnaflow catback, not stock 2" tubing. SO....idk. I'm still gonna rep the Super44 til the end. i've had 5 or 6 muffs on my truck til i found the right one for me. and i found it. Super44.

Yeah youtube videos don't really do any exhaust justice, unless you have a nice camera. I totally love my Super 44, deep and doesn't get ricer high pitched when you get on it. It does drone a bit more than I like but I also have it dumped right out of the muffler right now.

Mines like 3" inlet / 2.5" outlet

I got it before they released the other sizes though, Go with the 2.5/2 out for yours.
