Thrush Mufflers

I was wondering if anyone has put a welded thrush muffler on a 4.0 and if it sounds good? i was just wondering because its like half the price of a flowmaster.

IDK. Thrush gets mixed reviews as you can tell. Best bet is go on YouTube and search for Ranger's with the muffler your looking at.

i've got a thrush glass pack on a 4 banger and it sounds mean. its dumped right after the axle. it's loud, aggresive, 25 bucks, and you don't get the drone if its after the axle.

Yea mine is before the axle and it drones real bad on the highway. When you get it up around 2500 rpms it drones. But other than that it sounds pretty mean. i like mine

I'll take a video of my rear cat-deleted system now with 2.5in flowmaster super40 from the cat back (there used to be 2 cats and I re did it with 2.5in tubing to the muff)... I think it sounds great.

I have the Thrush Welded muffler on my 4.0, and my buddy has the Flow 40 on his 4.0

There is literally NO difference, except for the price.

I hate to thread jack but

Everyone that talks about highway drone. the simple way to fit it is to have it go all the way out the back. I have straight pipes on my truck and i don't have a highway drove. my exhaust exits under the tail lights. i mean yeah if the radio if off you don't talk windows up and no ac or heat on you can hear it but its not load like when its dumped under your bed.

I guess what im saying is don't hold back from getting a good muffler because your afraid of drone, Just change where it exits the truck.
