Torque to yield hardware
Torque to yield hardware
Hello all great forum with info I have been using for my timing cassette replacement. In all the tech manuals it states to replace the hardware on the cassettes and numerous others places on the rebuild. I have looked everywhere for the TTY bolts for the cassettes and numerous others that need to be replaced. Does anyone know where I can find them or did you just reuse the bolts you took out. Any help would be awesome. Thank you in advance

Look at the torque specs, if it has ft/lb or in/lb with nothing else it is not TTY(torque to yield)
TTY bolts will always have "plus 90deg" after initial ft/lb, some have 2 "plus 90deg" like head bolts
Torque spec list for 4.0l SOHC engine is here: Solved - SOHC V6 Torque Specifications | Ford Explorer and Ford Ranger Forums - Serious Explorations
Looks like Head bolts are TTY
Connecting rod caps are
Crankshaft Damper bolt is
And thats all I see
