so i just finished installing my PA bodylift, got everything buttoned up and put back together. reconnected the battery, everything lights up and seems fine, turn the key and she just cranks!!! i cant get it to turn over. i followed everything in the instructions to a T and reconnected everything i removed. is there anything that could have come unplugged during the lift that i dont know about or should check??

Yeah I dont see why it would be doing that, id also check your grounds. You could have tripped itself into limp mode when lifting it but I would assume it wouldnt turn over at all. Theres not really to many things that you could have done to cause the truck to turn over but not start besides maybe the limp mode, or ground not connecting well.

In general:
  • Recheck all grounds.
  • Check all fuses in both fuse panels, interior and underhood.
  • Check the Inertia Fuel Shutoff switch under the dash above the passenger side footwell. It may need to be reset.
  • Find and check the connector near the left frame rail that powers the harness to the rear half of the truck where the fuel pump lives. The connector location varies by year but is usually somewhere under the cab on the driver side. Then inspect the rest of the harness for damage between that connector and the tank.
Rangers are not all the same. Adding a signature with some basic vehicle info would be a good idea.

It's an impact sensitive safety switch intended to shut off the fuel after a collision. Hammering on the mounts or jostling the cab around during the lift process could have tripped it.
