sorry to thread jack but do the tuners come with the preset tunes already or do you have to spend more money to go have someone else create them for you?

It comes with some preloaded ones but then its best to get so custom tunes that best fit what you really want to do. Someone can correct me if im wrong but thats what i been getting told.

Here is some data from testing that I did with my truck.

(2nd column)40 to 70 mph-Third gear
(3rd column)50 to 80 mph-Third gear
(4th column)Gas mileage-City

Apten 87 perf / 9.7 sec / 9.9 sec / 15.1 mpg
Bama 87 perf / 9.1 sec / 9.45 sec/ 15.2 mpg
------------------- ------------------ ------------------ -----------------
Apten 91 perf / 9.0 sec / 8.7 sec / 14.5 mpg
Bama 91 torq / 9.0 sec / 8.8 sec / 15.3 mpg
Bama 91 perf / 9.0 sec / 9.1 sec / 15.5 mpg
------------------- ------------------ ------------------ -----------------
Stock / 9.7 sec / 9.9 sec / 14.5 mpg

I now have the city gas mileage up to 16 mpg (Bama 87 perf) by not revving it up too much when shifting through the gears. I think the performance of the Bama 91 perf would be much improved by running the engine up to red-line compared to the Bama 91 torque program. As you can see there is a difference depending on who did the programming.

Wirelessly posted (Timberwolf)

How many more hp are you gaining from this tuner to a superchips flashpac? They have three similar tunes also no?
