Vibration / Grinding noise

Hey guys i have a 2003 ford ranger fx4 level 2 Manual Transmission and Manual Transfer case. Recently bought it off of my uncle and it seems to have a problem, i am some what mechanically inclined ( brakes to engine swaps ) but i cant seem to find the dam problem im having with this truck. When i put it in gear to take off there is a virbation / grinding sound which is there all the way to around 60km / hr then it goes away or atleast quiets down for me not to notice it. I narrowed it down to i believe the transfer case because when i put transfer case in Neutral and put truck in gear i hear a really bad grinding sound and vibration coming from the transfer case ( i got down on my back under truck with truck ebrake pulled of course ). Sounds like a bearing of some sort but i could be wrong. At first i thought it was my front Differential but not to sure. Sound and vibration is more heavy in 4x4 then in 2 wheel drive but is still there in 2wheel thats for sure!.

Any suggestions would be awesome, i really dont wanna drop and split the transfer case for no reason if possible as its winter and no one likes working out in the freezing cold!

Thanks for reading

Id say trader case somewhere but hard to say without opening it. Is the fluid level ok?
