Hey guys check out www.ssd4u.com They are a company located on the east coast somewhere, and they sent me a big box that was only 15 dollar shipping, to Alaska! Rather fast delivery, like a week or something, and I bought the 140 dollar intake. I'm very happy with it, and didn't even use the instructions for installation it was so simple. I don't know how it relates to the other intakes, but its very good looking and they don't try to gouge you in price.

They seem to sell a lot of other stuff too now..

The only thing ive been worried about with open filter intakes is if you hit a huge water hole and it splashes all up (or water crossing the road) will the filter let water get in.

oil based filter(k&n0 will not let water in unless u complete sumerge it into water. trust me my old drop in K&N saved my engine...

you wont get it wet from a splash more like driving through a deep hole and then it wouldnt matter if you had a stock filter setup or a setup like K&N or MAC

I bought a Volant about a 1.5 years ago and love it. Yes I did spend a pretty penny on it but I like it. I got it from www.truckperformance.com. Just under $300 when I bought it. Not sure what year you have so I can't get the exact price for you.

Do you think that the MAC cold air kits for a 01-03 4.0L would fit a 05 4.0L,
I don't think there is a difference in the mounting locations or anything.
