What exhaust should I get
What exhaust should I get
I really have been wanting to get an exhaust now for a while. I have looked into all the usual suspects Flowmaster, Magnaflow, Gibson, a cherry bomb, straight pipes, and even Heavyflow. Is there anyone else out there I should look into. I like the idea of getting some new pipes under my truck since the ones on there now are looking kinda rusted. I don't know how loud I want it to go right now I have the stock exhaust on there. I want it to be even quieter than it is now I don't know if the best option is Flowmaster or straight or nothing at all. What will give me the quietest sound. But keep in mind I would like the performance gains of an open exhaust. Please don't send me to the search function I have used that already. I just want your personal opinion for my truck and me.
If you did use the search you would get ALLOT of info. This topic comes up way to much. I have Flowmaster myself, but my 4.0 is OHC. There is one member on here that I have heard flowmaster on his 4.0 OHV and I personally love it. You have to search and listen, everyones ear is different....

I think those are too LOUD you guys didn't maybe understand I WANT A LOW VOLUME EXHAUST one that has almost no sound at all. I really like the noise level when the key is off.

You said originally that you want it quieter than it is now? Unless you have a big **** hole in your muffler, you will never get it quieter! Best bets for quiet are factory replacement or dynomax, but that would still be a little louder than factory.....
my Dynomax is absolutely no louder than the stock exhaust......it just has more of a rumble to it.....and the muffler is more free flowing.....the Dynomax is about the best for your application and demands unless you stick with the stock exhaust
dynomax is probably your best bet like its been said, since you will have to have noise of some sort you might as well get a little more power sounding from either dynomax or gibson which is barely louder then stock, you could always buy a few resinators and stick them on the truck too, and get the longest muffler you can find.

LOL Thats what I'm talking about.
Sorry fellas I appreciate the love. Really I do. I think you guys either missed my little hints or I just disguised it too well. Maybe it is because we are mufflered out. This was meant to be a joke.
Heavyflow - is not a muffler....I will leave it at that
Really I don't think it is possible to go quieter than stock.
To see any performance gains you have to go to a larger than stock pipe for allowing more air flow this means it will be louder. To see a performance gain you have to have more sound.
I don't think anyone has asked for a quieter than stock exhaust I really did a search.
I hope I didn't ruffle anyones feathers I was looking for a laugh and thought some others would get my little joke.
