You'll have to go with custom wiring for the entire thing and custom gauges.

You won't pass emissions, if your location/habitat has them.

So you're going to hack an 08 up because your friends tell you to have more power in it?

Can you give me $1000??? LOL

everyone always said that to me, always drove me nuts, just cos its not 10 years old doesn't mean you can't mod it. if i had some more extra cash id throw a V8 in my truck and SAS it. I just don't have the money, but i do i plan on converting it to 4x4 in the near future

He's not the only one that can help you.....many can. VERY VERY few rangers have cobra's on the front....or shoot even the rear.

It's amazing what you come up with when you look for it.

if you wanted to super charge it you would need to have to be complete custom.

Not sure if you're torsion bar or what, or if his is the same as new years but there is someone on RPS with a new (06'ish+) with Cobras all round'.

Or find a used Whipple kit. Which still only puts you in 4.0 range

I have an explorer I'm in the process of swapping the 5.0 into my truck.

If you want I can get you the dash harness and body harness stuff.

This would allow you to swap to the 98-03 gauge cluster. You will still need to do some wiring to get your smart junction boxes integrated into the older setup.

I am not sure what it would take.

That would probably be the simplest thing to do. Make sure to get the keys to it too as your PATS system won't work with the new computer
