302 questions

I've decided to put the 302 that is in my garage in my ranger but i have some questions. Do i still get the motor mounts from an explorer or do i have to have them custom made. and will i have to move my tranny cross member farther back on the frame or just drill new holes where it is at now. Thanks guys

If your 98 truck is 2WD, you will need custom mounts. If it is 4WD, the factory 5.0 Explorer engine plates and mounts will bolt right up to the stock Ranger frame. The transmission crossmember is in the right place for the 4R70W transmission as used in the Explorer. For other transmissions, you would have to check.

You really need to post some detail on your truck and the engine and the transmission you are using. May possibilities...
