351w+00 ranger... Help wanted.

alright, well i just got a 351w thats built and cammed and and built c4. I couldnt pass up the deal and now im gonna put it in my 2000 ranger reg cab. This is my first engine swap. Is there anything im gonna need? Ive also got a read end off a f150. But my question is is there any emission laws or restrictions to keep me from doing this in the state of ohio?

if it is not a 2000 or newer engine

your`e engine swap is illegal

thats not true in every state ^^ ohio is not one of them

your computer will be useless...sounds like you need to do a ton more research before you start anything

Ford Ranger V-8 Engine Swap

It sounds like you will need to modifications to the frame to support the added HP and Torque. Not to mention the rear end and drive shaft.

what kind of driveshaft? ive got the motor trans, rear end, and swaybars.

you need to do some research on v8 swaps. this is not a plug and play swap. if you think you can use your stock PCM for this you got alot to read..go to the v8 section and read
