Alright I got a 1988 reg cab long box ranger mud/ street truck, the motor is the stock 2.9l v6(sackless!!!!). I wanna do a 5.0 swap and ill slap a carb on top. Im not so worried about the motor right now exept the mounts. But I want to know what i will all need, I got an 8.8 rear end which ill keep for now but I wanna know wat driveshafts ill need(out of what truck and size), and tranny, transfer case, also what motor mounts to keep it 4x4 and where they need to be put on. Ive heard I can get an adapter for the tranny to bolt up or have one made, is that true? If I can ill prolly go that way for now because it will be alot cheaper and easer cause basicly all Id need is the motor and adapter plate. any info helps thanks.
