the black plates are custom made to go onto 4.0 sohc motor mounts and if you do an auto from an expo it will bolt up to your stock crossmember but im staying manual and going with a t5

 

Been makin some progress got the ac lines pulled from the engine bay removed the cruise cable , bent the cab seam back, did some cleaning on my heads to.

 

 

Here it is finished awaiting the new drivetrain

 

Heads are all painted and gasket free valve springs will be here this week

 

bought some valve covers they arrived yesterday

 

had a package waiting for me when i got home

had a couple summit boxes sittin on the porch after work

 

install faster!

 

Awesome build, this is exactly how i would build mine, minus the aftermarket cam. IDK if I missed it, but what tranny are you going with??
Im looking forward to seeing more updates so I can live vicariously through you and see what I don't have the $$$ or know-how for on my 98.

 

im going with a t5 out of a foxbody mustang and im still undecided on a shifter either a steeda triax or a hurst and as far as the $$$ goes you can do it cheaper i just wanted all new bolts to work with and mostly new parts i have little over 2grand into it so far

installed my valve springs yesterday no during pics but completed product

 

not much progress lately got a valve cover bolt out that was broke off and got about half of my main harness 42 pin connector extended im adding 20 inches to it. Im going to get head gaskets soon and put the heads on hope the motor is complete in a couple weeks.

 

Lil update got my head gaskets yesterday so slapped my heads on tonight
