Update time got my rockers set n all torqued down lower intake on and my brake line for line lock ran

 

This will be a cool ride, when finished. Who made the adapter plates for the motor mounts? I am doing the same swap as you and this will help alot.

finished extending my 42 pin

 

did some motor test fitting today i have some adjustemts to do to the plates but should be all good after that

 

got my manifolds cleaned up and painted dont know if i like the color or if i want to go with gloss black though

 

finished plumbing my line lock and started on the wiring waiting on some parts and the weather to break and warm up some so i can open the door and drop this motor in.

 

got the new rear main seal in tonight my roller pilot bearing in flywheel and clutch all on its ready to go in the truck

I've been wanting a V8 swap for a while. After talking with my friend who dropped an LQ4 into his 87 Chevy, he said it would have been better to do a crate motor.

I'm thinking of going that route, crate fuel injected 5.0, computer and tranny included and everything.

Then I can run dedicated wiring for gauges and accessories

 

Depends if you want a stock motor or modded for price wise

got plugs and wires put on ordered a new set of valve covers due to a crack in one of the used ones i bought , ordered a engine dipstick high pressure power steering line and intake spacer.
