Yes....you read it right....

I sold my Ranger.

I had to buy a more economical vehicle that was capable of transporting my kids, and gets better gas mileage to drive 4 hours to see my kids when I can since I got a divorce in December (last year) and the ex screwed me out of my Explorer.

The good news is I bought a Focus and remain in the Ford Family. The other good news is I have an incredible memory, so I will lurk the boards here and continue to provide as much help and knowledge as I can.

Sucks to see the truck gone. I was kinda wondering what happened to you. I remember all the "issues" you were having to deal with last year.

I did go through an awful lot of stuff, and it didn't end until recently.

To quickly summarize, I got divorced in December.
January my ex wife and kids moved 4 hours away.
February my house caught fire, causing $86,000 damage.
March; spent the whole month homesless, hungry, and drunk 90% of the time.
March, April, May, I completely rebuild my life, starting with getting sober and moving in with my parents.
Jump forward to June, the house is finished with a complete rebuild.
Landed a great job.
July landed another great job.
Now here we are at August....I'm saving money, staying sober, and living a happy, healthy life.

Unfortunately the truck had some sort of connection with my past "life". I had a lot of good memories from it, but a lot of bad memories too. I drove it away from my burning house. I slept in it when it was 34 degrees outside, I got drunk and crashed it. Most significantly, I had my tag ran in it hundreds of times, resulting in tens of thousands of dollars in legal problems (from my own stupidity). It was a cop magnet, and everyone in my town knew who drove it...especially the police.

So with my new life, I had to make some "big boy" decisions and get a Focus.

With Cole's help, I debadged it and shortened the antenna yesterday. Today I installed the system from my truck into it. It's got a head unit with CD, USB, FM/AM, Aux-In, USB, Bluetooth audio and phone, and XM radio. I've also got a 500 watt Alpine mono amp driving a 12" sub in a sealed box. It's all set up to be easily removable to haul stuff.

Here's the only pictures I have of it so far. I'll take some more tomorrow after a bath since it got rained on and dirty yesterday.

Ford Focus ZX3, 2.0L Zetec N/A. Power everything. Black sport interior (bucket seats, leather wrap, etc.).
So far I've done the Fog Light mod (changes the Fog Light circuit so they can be turned on with parking lights), audio, airbox silencer removal, and these two mods. I plan to add cold air intake, tint the windows, lower it a hair, and a few other things soon.

Shortened antenna by about 24 inches:


Debadged the rear (Focus, and ZX3 emblems). Thanks again to Cole for buffing and waxing it after using the 3M eraser wheel and some cleaner to get the adhesive off cleanly.
