I read that mid-'80s camaro 305 exhaust manifolds would fit for Ranger install, but no 3rd party headers will work, they would need to be custom made.

The firewall will need to be cut and boxed so distributor will fit, if so equipped.

Why would anyone make negative comments about putting a chevy engine in a Ford?
After all chevy and dodge made Ford trucks #1, Ford would just be a car maker if it wasn't for the competition, can't be a #1 without a #2, #3 and the rest, lol.

Can't complain about the price, $55 for the kit.
Might work

my motor mounts bolt down to the frame then the motor mounts drop down over that part. you maybe able to set the motor in get it where you want it and then make marks then bolt them to the frame.
this is the one part of my motor mount. there is a U shape with a hole in it that goes over it.

that would be like a motor plate but on a motor plate they use a mid plate. if you do that you run into problems with the convertor
