My new project

I haven't been on here in a while so i figured i would tell yall about my new project. I got a great deal on a 95 lincoln mark VIII. It's got the 4.6 dohc and runs great. Going to try to put it in the 95. Gonna go ahead and pull the engine, if anyone knows about the anti-theft on these cars please give me a link, it has issues, sometimes it will start, sometimes nothing.

Nothing as in it won't crank?

Good luck! I'd love to see it done!

turn over but no start, u can mess with the door locks and keyless entry remotes and it will eventually crank and run fine. It's very irritating.

There shouldn't be PATS on a '95 Mark VIII. In fact, the '93-'95 Marks were still EEC-IV systems simular to the '94-'95 Mustangs (three digit codes).

it's def obd2 it may be a 96, but it does not have the pats system, i can't make out the production date on it. Didn't the 95 lincolns have obd2, because i know my ranger does. It's not the pats style keys i have both the originals and the keyless entry fob. it will start and run fine but only when the theft light is off.
