New speaker system

I just got my ranger a few weeks ago. Kinda rough around the edges but something to get me around while stationed here in south carolina. Wanting to get me new door speakers and maybe a little sub to throw behind the seats. I don’t have a whole lot of time during the week so easy installation would be ideal. Also trying to get this all done as cheap as possible. Speakers don’t have to be the best just something that sounds good and cheap. If anybody knows which way i should go or any systems y’all know of i’d appreciate any help.

Welcome to the forum

What year Ranger?
And regular cab or super-cab?

Speaker sizes changed depending on year

A powered sub-woofer is what you will use, one with "speaker" level INPUTS, this means you can tap into a speakers wires to get the signal
If its a super-cab you can tap into one of the rear speaker as the sub-woofers signal

If regular cab then you will have a hard time finding room for a sub-woofer, lol
A sub-woofer generates long sound waves, so it has to be a larger speaker, 8" is minimum, but not much better than door speakers, larger is way better as they can generate lower frequency sound wave, but hard to find the space for them

I would upgrade the door speakers first and then decide if you need a sub-woofer

2010 Ranger door speakers are 5 1/4 inch. You can get a pair of decant (compared to stock speakers) for under $40 bucks at Wal Mart, Amazon, ect. Install is super easy...just pull door panal off, 4 screws to take out old and put new in.
As Ron stated, before buying a sub, upgrade the stock speakers first. Stock radio is a low power/output, and unless you get a powered sub, you won't get a lot out of it. And if a standard cab like mine, not alot of room behind seats to mount one.
