hey folks ... i have a 1998 ford ranger xlt standard cab. everywhere i look it says that the speaker size for the back speakers is 6x8. However it seems that mine is not that way. 6x8 speakers are too small (see pics) ... unless i am missing something.

Is there a mounting plate or something that my truck is missing? i just bought the truck and am fixing it up!

i don't have grill covers so that explains a lot! off to the junkyard i go ...

although i'm thinking of not adding back speakers ... and doing a compact subwoofer instead
