Any ideas of keeping the box still
Any ideas of keeping the box still
I have a custom box in my extented cab were the back seat use to be. The problem is that is moves around way to much. Is there any good ways of keeping it still. Would i be able to screw it down into the floor with a heavy duty screw or something like that... Do you guys think that Velcro would work??
From the extended cab show ur pics thread:
This option also give you the use of both seats if needed.
Putting it directly on the floor would help. Then you'd have two options for the amp. 1. Under a seat or 2. Mounted to the rear wall. Of course if you've seen the floor box I built in mine, you could do a half sized version of that to mount the amp in (Or platform to put the amp under) and bolt the box directly onto it or with brackets.
Do you use the other rear seat? If not, consider the floor platform I and several others have built. Works great for me!
Hope this helps,

Bummer it's not an 8, you could cram it in the rear door....

man that is a nice set up u have. unfortunately i don't feel like getting a new box and i am so big nobody can sit behind me any ways.. do you think if i put a strip of Velcro on the the hump that it stay??
Thanks for the complement! :)
Velcro may help a little unless you corner real hard, I'd guess. Only other thing I can think of is to sit the box on the hump and use one or two of the rear seat bolts to bolt it to the floor, but that would mean moving your amp elsewhere.
So, as far as ease of use, I'm guessing a good strong velcro patch would help. Either that or there's something similar, except that both sides need to have it. Can't think of what it is called at the moment though. Try the velcro first since it's the cheapest and easiest fix. If it doesn't work, we'll try something else.
