Anyone got a Pioneer DEH-P6000UB deck?

I am looking at buying a new deck, I was interested in the deh-p6000ub. They are last years model so I can get it new off Amazon for $150.00. Anyone have this? If so do you have pictures of it installed and could you tell me what you think of it and does anything know if there good or not?

i have that deck. i love it! its wayyyyy nicer than factory! it alone made my stock speakers WAY louder! and the ipod control from the deck is over-rated and pretty hard to scroll and find a specific song. i just use the manual ipod cable. but i love it! ill post pics soon!

What do you mean the manual ipod cable? If I plugged the ipod cable into the USB cable would I still be able to change songs from the ipod and not the deck?

great deck...crappy insert... I have the same insert in my truck with a DEH-P5000UB(one model below) and I hate how its bent just like in the pictures here. I think the install kit insert was made by American international. It came from Crutchfield along with the rest of my stereo equipment.

I'm not sure if I am correct since I have never owned car that has had a deck that required something like whats needed in the Ranger but don't people have to put the deck on the bottom to avoid the bending?

i dont think it matters. the crutchfield instructions said it didnt matter. and i didnt even know it would bend until after it went in. but its not really a big deal i dont even think the bend does anything! haha

yeah it will eventually bend anyways if you install the pocket on the top. I've seen it happen on a couple of vehicles. Probably just the way it was made.

It still bugs me to have everything else in the truck all nice looking then have that bend below the headunit but maybe I'm just becoming obsessed with having the perfect interior lol

oh I looked at going with the P6000UB myself but I decided to go with the P5000UB instead as the difference between the two wasn't much other then the display. I figured it wasn't worth the extra money. Got new speakers instead

nice deck... as they said you cant go rong with pioneer. IPOD controll def is kinda annoying to pick a spacific song. but i just put it on shuffle or make a playlist. but great head unit and will make your speakers sound a lil better too.
