i would go with pioneer or alpine

 

personally i would take my clarion over an alpine any day, but my clarion is a double din dvd touch screen, alpines look stupid imo

 

yeah i was originally looking at the alpine ida x300 but its a little more expensive then the clarion and i like the look of the clarion better

 

you wont be disappointed with the clarion, ive had several now, and havnt had any problems

 

I also have a clarion double din, love it

 

I picked up a Clarion years ago and it has been better than any other brand deck I've ever used. I haven't had it in for a awhile cause it doesn't have a good sub control. But now that I'm boomless I think ima toss it back in. The sucker ran Infinity 6x9's like nothing I've ever heard before. Two 6 by's sounded like a small ten in the trunk. Just nuts.

 

That's units pretty good for the price.. clarion is a decent brand. I have no idea why people knock it. they put out some nice equipment. nice amps and nice headunits. speakers i dunno but the electronics are good.

 

haha i ended up going with a pioneer. i like the loom of the clarion better but watever.

 

I have a DXZ835MP (or something like that) for a very long time. The ranger is the 3rd vehicle to be installed in and love it. I really like how I can change the color to any hue I want. Grand Prix had red interior lights. Blue looked great in my blue Eclipse. Ranger gets a green color. I don't have a sub/amp anymore, but pre-outs were 4v. It reads CD-RW and plays MP3 files....hours of music on road trips.
