If you're thinking about putting it into your truck, I think there's some pretty involved/crazy/weird wiring involved. Just something to think about versus a conventional aftermarket system.

Questions:

1. My truck has a hump in the middle and a section on the back wall that houses the jack. I'm not sure if the Tremor's have that or not. Will this box even fit in my truck?

2. How does it sound?

I use to have a tremor system in the ranger I used to own.

The tremor system will not work without the tremor deck. It sounds good dont get me wrong. But you are much better getting an aftermarket setup. I heard an aftermarket 10" sub system (Punch sub, amp) etc that sounded better than the tremor setup.

How can this thing not work w/out the deck? I mean... Doesn't the amp just need a power and ground wire? Then doesn't the speaker just plug into the amp? Are there no RCA's on the amp?

Anyone know where I can get a box similar to it?

Also, if I used a different amp would it work?

There are no RCA's on the amp. The amp is a plain grey amp with wires going to the headunit. Trust me man, im not trying to shoot you down, but ive reasearched the tremor system very well in the past. You will find yourself spending more money trying to get it working. It is not meant for any application other than the tremor. Me and Brian (Blktremor02) have researched it. It is wired together in a very strange fashion. I told you in your other thread a very nice setup I saw in a ranger that doesnt take up all your room.

I'm not saying your trying to shoot me down or anything. I just didn't know it wasn't a normal amplifier. That is seriously stupid how they did that to make it freakin Ford specific..

Man, that blows. Really liked that box. Maybe I'll try to build a similar one.

Trust me, its not a normal amp/sub setup. If it was I would have added on to it when I owned the truck. It is a very complicated setup. But I think ford did it that way on purpose so no one could add. Good luck, and like I said, i sugges the kind of system that Tiffanya21 has, its small and compact and sounds great.

I have that site bookmarked, it's a great resource for the DIYer for car audio. Read around there and see what you can find

I'm with Jon on this one! Its a complicated setup with the Tremor System! No RCAs at all, and can't hook up anything else to it anyways! Trust me, I've tried to, and no go..Even the guy that works on my Tremor System told me you can't do anything else to it, just the way it was made! Ford did not make this system at all! Pioneer is the one who created it! Yell at them! lol

I bought an 04 Tremor that the head unit had been stolen. The dealer put in an old cheap Pioneer. ( the head unit was stolen while on the dealers lot) I guess they didn't want to pay their ridiculus price for it. The first thing I did was put a new Pioneer receiver in it. I was able to match up the wiring to the old Pioneer harness that the dealer butchered. The wiring is different than anything else i have ever seen. It appears that some of the speaker wires are connected together. They must be separated at the amp. The system works fine & sounds decent. I would not spend the money to put this system in. You are much better off with after market all the way around. The amp is weak & therefore the sub is not going to perform the way you would expect it to. I have seen on E-bay a sub box that holds two 10" or 12" subs. It is a down firing box that is low profile & you could store items on top of it when neccessary. That is the setup that i would prefer. The Tremor does have the jack storage in the middle of the back wall of the cab. I am not a huge Pioneer fan but I am happy with the DEH-P6600. It sounds good & the lights match the dash lights almost perfectly.
