Audio Pros, I Need Help!

Ok, on my 2007 Brute Force 750, I'm going to be putting 2 6x9 speakers in my fenders and my atv has a 12volt battery and a cig lighter. I want to be able to control it from an mp3 player/ipod & I want to be able to control the volume with a ****. Not sure if I need an amp or not. Can someone help me out!!!!! Thanks in advance!

BTW: Everything needs to be waterproof!

i know a guy in my town that has an arctic cat 800 that just has a box that he has mounted on his front racks, you could put marine speakers in it and buid it with sealed wood, that he plugs into his cig lighter and controls the volume w/his mp3 player. if you could get someone to help you figure that out there ya go..

you could just go custom or somethin and build a compartment for your cd/mp3 player that is sealed

I don't want to put a box because I'll be doing center snorkles and relocating my radiator to the front too.

The speakers will be molded into the fenders to save space.

I would get a pair of marine 6x9s and hook them up to a small amp thats in a waterproof enclosure. they sell Y cables that plug into a stereo plug and then on the other end have 2 a/v rca ends that plug right into the amp.

you would control the volume right thru your mp3 player

Can you give me a link of all the 'wiring' or adapters or anything? I'm totally lost when it comes to audio stuff.

Nowhere was it posted he was going to run marine speakers. Good luck keeping everything water proof with the bike going under water.

so are you just going to go with the whole kit? personally I think its the best bang for the buck. and you get the volume control that you were looking for

they may be waterproof, but watch what happens when they get totally submerged.

Nothing, because when I go in water about waist deep, I do nothing but water wheelie everywhere keeping the front end out the water. They may go under every now and then, but won't stay under for long. I'm pretty sure they'll hold up.
