I want to cut a hole in my cab and my baed and need help.

I was thinking of doing this system i think its called a blow trew system. were i cut a hole thre my bed and my single cab. then i want to make a box in the bed.i want to connect the 2 with rubber gromit of some kind.or just a rubber around.ive seen it done but only briefly. any one have any pics or sudjestions.i think my biggest problem is finding the gromit and making it water tight and making last for years to come.

oh and were can i find the rubber to go in between?thnks

You have to worry about the bed and cab flexing and ripping that hole apart. I've seen it done many times but never on a Ranger.

i've only seen one like that close up. and the grommet he used had plenty of extra corrugation for flexing. get the right rubber and i think you'll be alright, and just make sure the rubber to metal is sealed up and probly get the box line-xed or something like that

i used to have a 2000 reg cab and i did a cut out using the camper shell boot rubber and a ton of silicone. it sounded awsome with 4 kicker L7 12's vented into the main blow through port but it ate up the whole bed with the box amps and batteries
