Bass Tube?

Ok I need some thump in my truck and I'm a big guy and can't lose ANY ROOM at all. I've built a box before but I just lose too much space (too many clicks) if anyone has any suggestions I'm open, I did ahve a kicker S10L5 in there with the amp under the seat.... but I need more ideas... I was thinking of a bass tube, anyone have any experience? I tihnk Griggs had one in his but I never looked at it...

infinity has a real nice one that comes with a *** and blows other subs away. my friend has one in his f-150 reg cab and that thing makes everything vibrate but hes getting rid of it cuz he doesnt like bass and never has it turned up. i could see if he is getting rid of it and how much he wants...they are compact and very nice with everything you need already on it, all you do is wire it up.

I had a 6.5" amplified Bass Tube a while ago, and it was the worst $200 I ever spent, it stopped working after 5 months and I didnt bother figuring out what was wrong with it. Then I got a Basslink, which was definately a step up from the tube, you could've heard it in my truck last weekend... D'OH!

Oh heck yes! Oh geez..she got me saying it...

Hey I talking to Jason and here is what we came up with:
1.) Herculining my entire truck is retarded due to the incredible weight it would add (but I haven't totally given up on it)
2.) One weekend I'm headed over to his house to fab my new bumper, rock sliders and rear bumper. Oh I forgot to tell you, sometime between your place and home I lost my right foglight. The foglights were the reason I wasn't making a new bumper but now that I lost one I figure, what the hell. I sent him an e-mail with a picture of a bumper that most closely resembled what I want on my truck. Should be a fun time. You should join us! Oh and I think I'm gonna get a skid plate with the front bumper too. So yeah should be fun :)

ok I loked at the Basslink and it looks pretty nice, how well do they fit in an reg cab?
I was also looking at bazooka tubes and I could prolly run 2 of those...
I was also thinking about this bazooka tube, kinda goes along with the entire splash/baywatch theme I'm thinking about doing.

do you think doing this all day had anything to do with your missing fog light? You probly knocked it out when you hit a turtle or something...

Crazy Crackers drivin thru them lakes an stuff. Squishin all dem turtles.

Q, I run Bazooka's 8 inch tube. It's been in the truck since I got it. Sounded good with the factory system, sounds even better with the Alpine. Uses no space, and will definatley get your attention.

man that pic looks like yall had some fun.

those infinity bass boxes use up less space i believe. or they dont "stretch" out as much so you can fit them behind a seat better. just my opinion

Q.. i'd have to say yes.. and no, to a bass tube.. my brother has one in his neon.. sounds good.. i think it was an 8 inch.. (got it like 4 years ago, still works great). anyway, my friend just had one put in his 02 f250.. it was a waste. i told him not to get it.. but, he showed up one day with it installed, and kinda sad that it was so bad.. i made fun of him for it, and still do. lol, anyway.. there's some that are pretty good for what they are, and, for space reasons, i'd say yeah go for one.. just watch which one you pick cause apparently, some are only a waste. i could find out which one my friend has in his truck to let you know to stay away from it if you wanted.. it wasn't that one you posted earlier though, thats the only thing i know about it so far, lol.

build a blow through. its a bigger sealed box in the bed and use a heavy diameter pvc pipe to connect the box to the cab. 2 10s or 2 12s should sound real loud. on a lighter note i have a 10 infinity kappa perfect in a ported box with a 1200w infinity sub amp behind my pass seat in my ext cab and it sounds real nice. its loud but not overpowering.
