box deminsions?

box deminsions?

I am looking for sealed box dimensions for a 12" Sony xplod all i can find is the dimensions of the sub can anyone help me out?

the specs on the sub should tell you what the cubic feet of the box needs to be for a sealed enclosure. Then just do some math...it won't matter what the dimensions are, just as long as you have the minumum.

Volume = Length x Width x Height

it would help to have the exact model # of the sub as well, places like Crutchfield usually
tell you the required airspace for a sealed or ported box, for examlple a shallow mount
12" Xplod XS-L12S needs .95 cu ft sealed, and then after you find that out go to somewhere
like RockordFosgate.com and find a box calulator and put in all your dimensions and the
displacement of the sub and even the size of the wood you will be using and it will calculate
the size of the box for you Rockford Fosgate® - Woofer BoxWizard
not only that they have some pretty good tips on building encosures as well

so of the minimum how much could you go over on making the box before it would be to big?
