Can't Get A Ground

Hey everybody...i'm installing a new system in a buddys truck, but i can't seem to get a good ground anywhere in the cab. any ideas why this might be?
one more question....the blue remote wire coming from the amp.....is it supposed to plug into the orange wire from the H/U????

Well, if what you are trying to ground it to has no metallic attachment to the chassis, it won't work. You'll have to go down to the floor or something.

The cab is grounded via a couple of fairly small straps. I run a separate, heavy enough, ground straight to the battery. I don't trust those straps long term. They're not large and they are exposed and can rot.

make sure you have the neg terminal on the battery when testing for grounds. I forgot to do this and it was very fustrating, until I figured it out.

I grounded mine thorugh the floor on the seat bolts.

There should be a blue or blue and white wire coming out of the head unit of an aftermarket unit for the remote wire to tie into.
