Can't pull the part down - Radio antenna help

Alright so I went to the junkyard today and grabbed a new antenna wire from a ranger for my mazda b4k.

anyways.... I can't pull the part down or can't get it. Hopefully these pics will help

Alright so i pulled the glove box down as shown and I can't get the cord out.

here is where I can't get the black radio antenna cord to come down, its real tight up where my fingers are and theres foam around.

this the a pic of the cord I snagged from the junkyard, I need to get to this piece and disconnect the male/female parts so I can install the new one but I can't get to the part that's in my truck already.

have you tired getting a long pair of needle nose pliers grabing the cord and use some leverage to pull it out? maybe some with a bent nose?

nevermind about this thread.

We took the whole antenna out to only find out its a 1 long cord. I'm going to have to buy a whole new antenna for it to work good again.

Had the same thing happen to me at the junkyard. My mom's 98 Explorer needed a new antenna. So, it wouldn't come out. My secret is a hammer, big hammer. We beat the dash out and the antenna worked great.
