Walking around pull a part and I'm like "OOOOOOOoooooooo look at that over there."

So I go check it out. The whole truck is caked in mud (as it should be) and I snapped 2 pics, one was on the diff for identification purposes but it didn't go through.

It's an old SAS and the stocks look rough, all 4 shocks. Nice, big coils.

The coils and shocks were red so I'm thinking Rough Country or Rancho. I am pretty sure Rancho.

The stabilizers were 2 different kinds. One was a Rancho RS9000 or something and the other was a Bilstein 5100

Disk brakes. Both hubs engaged fine. Radius arms were good. Steering linkage was good.

If anyone can identify the axle let me know.

The more i look at it the more I'm thinking Dana 44.

If so this would be a great find for a Ranger SAS.

I will be happy to meet up with someone on like Saturday this week or next and help pull it.

I wish there were more axles available for cheaper that had the same bolt pattern. Like the certain types of Jeeps that have them..

haha I remember seeing this one as well, and yeah it was def. caked in mud. If I were ever to do a SAS(Not happening though) it would have to be the front axle out of a Cherokee with 4.10s. I don't believe you have to shorten the axle or anything like you would with the fullsize axles.

Its not a sas truck, if its a stock solid axle. All high pinion axle's are reverse cut.

Quote this: lulz - My standard cab WILL GET an SAS done sooner or later, but it'll be a Jeep axle with the same bolt pattern or nothing...
