But the truck can be driven to get you from point A to point B and COULD be wheeled if the owner so desired.

Some people may enjoy this noise competition, but i would rather have one clean sub than a million that you cant even enjoy.

And...... all the driveable sound competition cars COULD be driven if the owner so choose's. Just cause it can get loud enough to do permanent damage to your ears does not mean it has to be listened to at that level 100% of the time. It's called a volumn **** and gain **** on the amp. Adjust adjust accordingly.

My system is listened to daily, and it has the ability to do ear damage...

Systems aren't an on/off switch, they are adjustable to be able to listen to daily, then take to comps when needed.

Everyone's opinions are just that, opinion's, he may think your lifted off roading is a pointless waste of money too.

Again, if you don't like it, move along, nothing to see here.

I Second this.

Im speechless at how ridiculously stupid the sound system compititions are. And by speechless i mean i cant come up with a word to describe my feelings.
it is DUMB. flat out. The people defending it are almost equally frustrating, saying things like "No YOUR Dumb!" and sticking your tongue out lol.

It's a retarded sport simply because it is. Kinda like Trading cards tourny's or chess. or maybe even shuffleboard. lmao.

It takes no physical enurance or prowess, therefor it isnt a real sport to me. so the compitition might as well be playing craps against the side of a wall.

the way i see it - not everyone has the same views as everyone else... there are people that like sound mods and see riggin up a truck a complete waste of time - bc when it breaks.. you get to spend more money in it. the guys that do car audio enjoy what they do - and are proud of it - and like one of the guys said -- they win some mad cash at these competitions, they can fix whatever blows, sounds like a bonus... where as guys that go muddin, sure its fun, and wild and crazy woooooooooo -- ok, but whats a bonus, you have no money to fix it once the drive shaft falls off, or the control arm snaps, or you blow your precious engine that you put all your blood sweat and tears into making a beast.

thats just my opinion - ive seen the best of both worlds... to each his own ya know? so instead of being bullheaded boys about it all - why not see the pride that others put into rides when they do a different kind of modding, its just as important to them as yours is to you, just in a different way.

whoever said that sound competitions were a sport? Does offroading take physical endurance...nah I don't think so, so let's knock that off of the "sports list" as well.

And nobody is saying you're dumb. There is a big difference between ignorance and stupidity, and you are just flat out ignorant about the subject.
Don't knock on things and say they're stupid just because you don't like them.

whoa whoa whoa... i'm done expressing my disinterest for the sound competitions, but try talking to anyone about offroad racing and tell them it didnt take physical endurance.

mouse mccoy racing 1000 miles on a dirtbike.... no physical endurance at all

Hellion, noone has called you dumb... ignorant- yes, dumb- no. when you learn the difference between the two, you'll understand.

spl competitions are not sporting events, so there was no point in bringing up sports in the first place.

yes offroading does involve physical endurance.. what does that have to do with anything in the discussion though, lol.

and D... those people you talk about are annoyying as hell. if you go to a real SPL compitition, you'll find that many of those people you find roaming around throughout the night aren't participating in spl comp's... the closest they'll get to any competition is sitting in your grocery store parking lot after hours with the other kids who love to show no respect or common curtiousy to the community. i wouldn't link the two groups of people together seeing that they're only common link is owning a car.

i didnt say no your dumb meaning you called me that. i used it as a type of, analogy. kinda like my dad can beat up your dad crap? which is what i meant. meaning that my opinion and your opinion. of either me or the subject doesnt matter to me or others. only yourself. but think about it. offroading i concider a sport simply because it takes a pro to do it right and get paid for it. if anyone could do it. there wouldnt BE racing. racing is all about pushing the vehicles to the limit and having fun. but its no fun when an amatuer slams into you or flips there vehicle. and

And Mouse fractured 2 ribs and broke his wrist. but thats on a motorcycle. a lil bump going as fast as he was is life threatening. in a truck. its all about handling the power givin and the variables of the track.

And as for Offroading. Somone who drives down the street in there Soccer Mom's Van or SUV and swerves over to touch the dirt shoulder. is NOT an offroader. someone who spends as much time or more tinkering on there vehicle as they do in the air or dirt, IS. and believe me, anyone who's done that stuff WILL tell you that your going to be friggin tired at the end of the day.

Dumb-Foolish; unintelligent, Not having the power of speech
Ignorent-knowing very little; uneducated.
I dont see how im either? My "Rants" are fully understandable except for a few grammatical errors, But they Kinda mean the same thing dont they?maybe mis-informed and Opinionated, as STONE has once told me. but im neither stupid or lazy.

...that doesn't clarify something as a sport. you just stated that professionals get paid... which goes for any occupation in the world, lol.

lol... what is the point in this? i'm sorry but why are we randomly stating what off roading is and isn't?

.....are you serious? you just looked up ignorant, cut and pasted a short definition, and still don't consider yourself as ignorant? lol. throughout the thread you've said many times... "whats the point in making noise," what then, what after that, etc" ....asking questions like that would pretty much mean that you know very little and are uneducated when it comes to talking about SPL competitions.... in short- you are ignorant, lol! do you see this yet??

I like it...as far as spending too much money, you can argue everything that way. Spend a bunch of money on a bad a$$ street car and people dont call it a waste most of the time so why is this different?

I agree with the person that already said that the distortion is the video quality. How is it not 17,000 watts? I am running 2000watts RMS and can go to 3200watts RMS on 2 10s in a single cab truck so he can do it in a SUV.
