Icon14 Christmas suprise, 80% done, lovin it so far!

K, i bought my gal an Alpine CDA-9886 headunit, Infinity Reference 5 1/4" comps for the front, Infinity 6x8s (waiting for them) and US Acoustic USB-4065 amp.

the headunit is great, one of the best i ever used. the amp (i have them in all my trucks) is fantastic and the front stage sounds amazing even with the factory rears. i dont even think ill get her a sub, it has enough bump as is.

ill have pics soon. i cleaverlly mounted the tweeters using factory areas and mounted the amp under the seat and after a second try got everything hidden.

looks ago i would have mounted the tweeter up higher to bring the sound stage up more toward the listener. mine are up above the "V" on the part of the door where it meets the dash

I always wondered if that would work or not with the crank behind the door. Sweet system.
