Haha same here. Things just aren't the same once you buy a double din. Double dins have ruined me for other headunits. LOL

Sick I cant wait to install my DNX5140, grounding the ebrake wire hard? I know it sounds dumb but not 100% on what to do.

for some reason on my dvd player that wire if connected to a ground does nothing... once i hook up the ebrake wire to a 12v source it works so i have to find a wire to tap in to with a switched 12v source. :(

Don't worry mine is the same way. I've never tried tapping it into a 12v source though. May have to do that tomorrow.

May just buy the harness to bypass all that instead of rewiring it.

Your bypass doesn't work? Mine works perfectly, I'm running the hardware and software bypass though.

I never did it haha. Actually, I'll have tons of time today to mess with it. I'll go out and do the bypass.

Oh haha, the software bypass is pretty easy to do and you don't have to mess with wires. You can find it on avic411.com

Trent's the one to talk to about that one. I have no idea. I just tried the hardwire bypass on mine and it def did NOT work. I'm thinking it's the fact that my mute wire isn't hooked to anything though.

It's supposed to go on the bottom of the headunit so that the headunit slides onto this "rail" that's behind the dash to support it. I didn't put mine in though.

The one I'm referring to is a Pioneer Avic only one. Clarion might have one but I don't know anything about it.
