To answer your questions:
1. Yes. Just split, or tap into the remote wire. After you add a 4th or 5th amp/device to that remote wire, then we can talk alternatives. I recommend adding an inline switch (or two) while you're at it, so you can turn off one or both amps as desired.
2. You can probably get by, by splicing the powerwire for the satellite component into the stock constant power line. I'm assuming you have a stock head unit still? Just watch the display for any dimming, especially when the bass hits. Otherwise you should be OK.

i agree with micheal, i have my remote wire split and 2 switches (one for my sub amp and another for my speaker amp). it comes in nicely especially if u need to trouble shoot.
as far as the SAT, how much power does the unit draw? also, does ur alpine HU have to have the power wire ran off the battery or does it use the factory wiring? mine needed to be wired off the battery because it draws a little more power becauseof the internal amp.

The diagram shows it holding a 5 amp fuse. It is the SIR-ALP1 and my HU is the Alpine 9830 with everything going through the stock wire harness, and I guess I would splice before the fuse on the HU power lead. I haven't bought the SIR-ALP1 yet, but the reason for asking is I'm evaluating whether or not I will get this from Crutchfield and install it myself or just get it at Circuit City and have them do it. As far as multiple remote leads, I draw the line at relays so this is where installation fees would enter the picture.
u wont need a relay for the remote lead, just splice off the wire to the HU.
5A is a good amount of draw to be tapping off the stock harness. IMHO i would run a seperate wire from the battery. but thats just me, and im sure u can tap off the stock harness but thats just to hack job for me because im a neat freak.

If you have external amplifiers, just disable(turn off) the amplifier inside the head unit. Then you can use the stock wiring and will be fine. I called Alpine about a similar issue, and they said just make sure the display does not dim when the volume is high. If it does, then your head unit is starved for power.
how can u disable the internal amp? i misplaced my book on my HU...CDA-7894...
