To go aftermarket or stay stock?
I currently have a stock head unit in my stang(Its a stock CD player). I have aftermarket speakers all around and a 12" subwoofer. Ive been curious about getting an aftermarket deck for my stang...I saw one at circuit city I really liked, but was wondering if its really worth it and how much of sound quality diference will it make. Any opinons would be great.

My wife drives a "company" Mustang.
She has the CD-6 MP3, just like my truck, but she has the SHAKER version. Like THIS ONE ON EBAY . The sound is incredible for a stock head unit. Maybe you should just upgrade...

I always say "get an aftermarket headunit." I also personally say get the best one you can afford. In other words spend the extra 50 bucks for the next model up in most cases if you can afford it. Even if you don't understand the features right now one day you might want to add something to the system and the more expensive higher-end models usually have more flexibility built in. As for sound quality, remember when you put in the aftermarket speakers? Big difference, right? Same concept. Which unit were you looking at? I'm a fan of Kenwood and Alpine myself but, most any top name brand is a pretty good unit.
