I always get mine at the local shops. You don't get the harness or dash kit for free, though. But this way I know what I'm getting & I get to play with it to see if I like it before I buy it.

i have an alpine for sell for $120...check my thread in the for sale.

i just picked up an eclipse 8445...so far i have $427 in it...i still have to go back and buy the "good harness" that gives me back most of my functions...$100; and i need to buy the steering wheel adapter so i can use my steering wheel controls...$80. and just on a side note...eclipse decks come with the proper software and wiring to directly wire my steering wheel controls to the new deck, but wonderful GM will not release the codes to eclipse so that it will work...go figure.
