two-way, three-way, four?
two-way, three-way, four?
i know this might be a stupid question but what is the diference when it says 2, 3 and 4 way speakers? what does that mean? any help is very nice. im looking to replace my factory speakers all around and i want to know what i am getting is what i want.
no need for 4 and 5 ways, dont really even need a 3 way
a 2 way is plenty good for stuff, only way i would get a 3-way is in high end component speakers, just go for a nice 2 way coax or 2 way component set, amp them better sound

well i was thinkin about getting some rockford fosgate 6x8's for all around in the pickup. 2-way. dont have many specs on those speakers but let me know what yall think. i will NOT be amping them. just what comes from my stereo. 55w(peak) to each
Three-way, or triaxial, speakers take the separate woofer and tweeter from a two-way design and add a midrange driver for enhanced warmth and texture. Select three-ways use a supertweeter, instead of a midrange, for extended high frequency response. Four-ways combine a woofer, a midrange, a tweeter, and a supertweeter for even more detail.

hey boss let me know. i can get you some nice ma audio 6x8's or almost any other brand and i am local. http://maaudio.com/productview.cfm?pid=2569640 can do these for 135 picked up or 145 BTW thats for 2-pairs of speakers, 4 total. if i have to meet you somewhere around 1604. that price is for the pair. i have had great success with these either ran off a deck or amped. in fact i just did a system for my neihbor in his dodge with this model in a 6x9 and a 6.5 in the rear off a 100x4rms amp and they sound nice. the positionable tweeter really enhances the soundstage. i have dealt with RF/Pioneer/Sony/Alpine and for the price point i like these hands down. you will not be disappointed.

ill let you know dude. where do you work? i work down in northstar mall
the highest i go would be a 3 way. Just for the fact you have you highs, mids, and lows. Basically all you need in a system. Add some components and thats 100 times better. As of now im running 2 way tho. All on personal preference
