Headunit help
I have an older Poineer HU (came with the car).
It has one set of RCA jacks on the back of it. Are those inputs or outputs?
I bought a RCA to Ipod adaptor and when I hook it up the Ipod plays really loud on volume one and it also plays over the tuner (FM radio band). Basicly I am listenign to the FM station and the Ipod at the same time but the Ipod is so much louder than the FM station you can bearly hear the FM station.
Do I need another component to get this Ipod adaptor to work correctly?
Thanks

Here is info on it: http://www.crutchfield.com/p_113KDC1...DC116S&tp=5684
Those are preamp outputs. Since its an old unit you would need a FM transmitter to get an ipod going on it.

Or something that I think is called an FM Modulator that lets you have a wired connection through your existing FM antenna plug.. but I think they're like $50. They just have a lot better sound quality than a FM transmitter.
Yes iam lookingat a $30 one on Crutchfield if they don't sell out by the time Iget to order it.
I was hoping not to put over $40 into this car. Going on $60 now. $30 for the iPod plug and now $30+ for the FM thing.
Thanks everyone for all your help.
