how many watts is a stock 2000 ranger head unit
it's probably less than 10. aftermarket h/u's puts out 22 watts rms on average. dodge/chrysler and chevy units are in the 5-8 watt range. i would imagine ford is similar.
basically, an aftermarket h/u with decent power will underpower 99% of aftermarket speakers, and with a stock h/u, you will never hear close to their potential.

Are these numbers RMS per channel or total RMS output divided between 4 channels? If that is total RMS power, that is really bad - much less than I thought. And in either situation, it's still too little. My question is more out of curiosity.
