i tried this and was not sucessful. you will need shallow mounts to do this with 12s.
i have a box that im looking to sell with your interested.... go to my ablums and look at the pictures.
but my box went from wall to wall and stands 19" tall. its custom fit to the rangers.

I have this idea that you could take the seats out then build a box on each side roughly 14" tall and have it stick out 12+" from the side trim, then upholster the top of it and put some decent foam on it and use the box as the seats! you would have to leave the seat belt in place and find a spot to mount the other end of the seat belt that it clips into. You may also have to get a speaker box if you wanted to make a back for the sub seats because the back would cover the current speakers. Just an idea that I have been wanting to do since I got mine!

Take the seats out and build/get something bigger. Nobody want to sit back there anyways.
