Good stuff guys. Everything has shipped at home. I'm back either Monday or Tuesday and will get right to work on installing everything.

I'm looking forward to your review of the headunit Justin.

Thanks again for all the advice you guys have been giving me. I'm learning a crap-ton just from this thread.

Frank

Hey Guys, quick question.

Ground and Amp. ground are black and black/white respectively. I have a orange black and an orange for the illumination and dimmer but I only have the orange on my head unit harness. On the orange/black wire it says dimmer ground, so do I connect this wire to the black and black/white?

It should work with just the orange. If it doesn't then I would ground the other wire and see.

okay, I got the head unit installed now, will post a picture once I find my camera.

Anyways, I have satellite radio, but in the tuner, it's not showing up (it says it should in the kenwood instruction manual). Any ideas?

How do you know you have satellite radio? Even if it says XM radio radio you still normally need a actual XM tuner for it to work.

You'll need to get the Sirius tuner for the Kenwood then. You can use the stock antenna if I remember correctly.

Lol you will need the kenwood tuner for sat radio. I may be mistaken but the factory xm sat tuner should be part of the factory radio

Its not, but it doesn't work with the aftermarket units.
