Just got my advanced MECP

I think im one of like top 20% or 30% percentile now according to my certification of installers. I know im within the top 200 of best buys cuz theres not many of us who are advanced or used to be known as first class installers. For those of you who dont know what MECP is, it is pretty much the ASE electrical certification only alot more in depth. theres 3 levels basic, advanced and master. Theres only a handful of master installers in the US roughly about like 150-200 i have heard. I passed the other day with an 82 and got a fat raise at work for it. Hhaha how about a mod for the audio/video section? lol

congrats man. i got a 96% on my advanced when i took the test a couple of years ago... never stuck with it though to go for the masters cert.

i forget exactly how they break everything down.... did you have to first complete a number of years in the field before you were allowed to take the masters test?

it is overpriced, but for me not a waste of money. if i had the time (currently working about 70hrs a week) and someone local that could show me more advanced fabrication that would be great. i am not talking about your normal here buy this prefab box, put this generic sub in and away you go. i want to build show cars. but i just live in one of the worst parts of the country for that.

Congrats I have been in it for over 10 years now. I let it run out this last year as I have been in the bus. long enough that it does not matter where I live.

all the places around here are elitist douches that wont hire you if you don't have 33 and a half years of prior experience, or know absolutely nothing about what you are doing. at least that is what it seems to me.
