Ok, so I built a shelf behind the driver seat of my truck to set my sub on. To keep it in place I stuck the ruff side of some velcro on it so it sticks to the carpet on the box, but the problem is it sticks way to good to the box. I can barely get the thing off and its tearing up the carpet on the box. What could I use that would keep the sub from sliding around but still be easy for me to push the sub off the shelf so I could get to the storage behind the jump seat?

 

L brackets and wing nuts, less strong velcro.

 

I thought about that, but I wanted something a little quicker and easier to move it. I need to get to the storage space often so it would become a hassle.

 

ditch the sub or subs and buy a small amp that will mount under your passenger seat and have some good power then get a NICE set of components that will do good midbass. and problem solved.

 

I spent way to much on the setup to get rid of it. I already have 2 nice amps to power all the speakers and mb quart door speakers (factory rear).

I have been thinking more on the L bracket idea and I think if I mounted the L bracket to the spk box and then have a short stud sticking out of the shelf that the hole in the L bracket can slid over. Then to move the box I can just lift it off the stud and push it out of the way.

Ohh and I do want some components in the rear along with the sub. The factories sound like crap compared to the rest of my system.

 

It sounds like storage is a rather large issue with yourself.. why not get a crossbed box?

 

no no no you want the components in the front. move the mb quarts to the rear.

 

I need the bed room. I would like one but then the bed would be rather small.



yea now that I think about it, I think that would be better.
