Looking for a new cd player.

My pioneer is starting to die, it ejects when and if it wants to..

So I am looking for a new player that sort of matches the stock green(like the gauges), has preamp out, works with ipod, and under $100.

So far I have found:

Pioneer DEH-2100IB

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...sr=8-1&seller=

amazon has it for $89 + Shipping..

any other recommendations?

I have a brand new alpine cdm7995 I am trying to sell, the reason I am selling it is because the lighting is green and my entire dash and ALL of the interior lighting in my truck is blue.

Get the DEH-P5000 or higher. The Ipod interface alone is worth the extra couple bucks...

I have the DEH-P5000uB. I love it. iPod interface is great. Even has the option of using up to a 250gb external harddrive. The CD player works great and you can make MP3 or WMA cd's as well. 3.5mm aux input works great with a laptop or Zune. Anything with a headphone jack for that matter. Nice blue lighting and it has a dimmer for night time. Sounds great paired with their 6x8 speakers all around.

Best $100 I ever spent. If you can find a used one or someplace cheap, get it.

eBay Auction Only $134 shipped.

Found the Model DEH-P3000IB shipped for $84.99 but needs a cable for ipod..

though not diggin the blue..

Might just end up with this as it is cheap as hell, unless I can find cheaper.
2009 Model DEH-11E $69.99 Shipped!

its green and I already have the 3.5 cable for aux..

And yes the green is important, I like it to look stockish and not scream aftermarket and not look too cheap.. ipod not so important as long as I have a way of hooking it up, currently have a wired fm modulator that works but soo old school.

I plan on buying soon before I lose a cd.

Just curious. If your current setup works with an Ipod, why do you need a new HU. Or did I miss something. I've stopped using my CD changer since I got the Ipod.

pioneer makes a hell of a deck, i have 2 of them, i have the deh-p6500 in the ranger, the buttons are the same green as the stock color, and for hooking the ipod up in the the truck, i have the cable that plugs into the back of the deck, but it comes out to
RCA cables, and i have a 2008 premiere in the vette with the ipod adaptor, but the color is blue, and the only complaint is that the actual ipod cable i have in the vette wont charge the new 4G ipod nano's

ever heard one of those "FM modulators"? They sound like weak AM radio!

you definately want a hard wired connection between the Ipod and stereo.

From what I've seen Aux jacks aren't perfect either.... but true they are far better than an fm transmitter. I just make mp3 cd's with folders.... I can fit about 8-10 cd's on one mp3 cd and i only own about 70-80 cd's so i can have my entire collection on 7-8 mp3 discs.... It's pretty sweet. And obviously sound quality is not an issue.

You should really aim for one with the USB port on it because the USB port has better sound quality than with an aux. port.

I had a panasonic and had it for 3 and half years. Worked great. I loved it.

Shand also swears by panasonic. He has had the same luck as me.

The deck is atleast 2 years old - I doubt it has any of the ipod gizmo's - I hooked it up and it didn't match with any of my lights and I was like "damn, this wont work".

I have all of this extra stereo stuff, some I'm trying to get rid of.

Agreed. I have an alpine that has an usb. It sounds so good on an ipod. It also charges your ipod to.

I paid 269+ shipping and it is brand new. The deck is sitting in my closet with a 400 watt amp, and my 2 polk momo 10's that are also brand new. I would take 175$

I bought the deck because I needed something in my truck when I shipped my favorite CD player out for a cleaning from alpine. The one I have that I like is all blue - it is in my truck now. This was about 2 years ago when my interior was still stock. I used it for 2 weeks while the one I like was out for service.

went shopping at best buy, car toys, walmart, and a small local shop.. nada.

I am pretty bad with impulse buys and out of all places found this:

http://www.amazon.com/Pioneer-DEH-20.../ref=de_a_smtd

at target for $69.. I know it doesn't have ipod control, but for the price I can get some other toys..

I can't use this kind of deck, I have a line driver, 3 amps, 2 subs and 4 component speakers - are you using the stock system ? If so that looks like a good find.
