Sirus/ Stock H/U help.

Now this isn't about a Ranger instead it's about my dad's 2005 F-150 XL with the stock (AM/FM only) radio. For is recent birthday he got sirus whish he has been wanting for awhile. I ran the antenna and everything (really easy), but apparently in Cincinati there are NO free (static) channels. So he needs one of those direct hook up FM modulator things. Now he can either get one from Best buy and get it installed by them or I can attemp this job. My two questions are..

1. Will the FM modulator require a Ford Radio adaptor?
2. Is there a free site or forum where i can find the how-to on removing his stock h/u?

or should he just let Best Buy install it?

it's really east to remove the radio. all you do is remove the trim around it and there are 4 screws holding the radio to the dash, take those out and the radio comes right out.

none should come in because of the low strength of the fm modulator. Best buy should charge you no more than 17.99 to do that

Since im back up in dayton he's just gonna go to Best buy thanks guys. We tried every station, but from what i was reading the feds made them turn the power down on the fm transmiters. Sucks, but being wired to the radio is the best thing you can do anyways. my only gripe is why don't they give you the fm modulator instead of that stupid (useless & ugly) fm booster?

Try this station

I live north of Cinci (West Chester) and use 90.7 and it works fine. even when I travel stations do not bleed in unless they are realy strong.
