My setup ideas

Well I was on Crutchfield tonight looking at speakers for my truck and I found these:

For the front Infinity Kappa 682.7cf at $150
For the back Sony XS-V680HP at $100

I was reading the reviews and saw that many people said that was a great combo, the Infinitys had a lot of clear, high end sounds, while the Sonys were lower which is good for the back. I'm also going to upgrade the headunit (right now i have the stock mp3 6CD) but at a later date. I listen to all kinds of music, but I love my bass when it gets in the rap music but I also like to hear the lyrics.

I was just wondering if anyone had this setup or what setups yall had. Thanks your help.

I have had Infinity's before but never Sony's. The Infinity's are really clear and crisp, kind of like Alpine's. I'm sure the Sony's are good too, but don't sound as well as those. Why not get components for the front and the Infinity's for the rear?

Also, before you buy from Crutchfield (and trust me I love Crutchfield, they are great and customer service is #1), but check Ebay too, just to see what kind of price difference there is. If it's alot, buy from Ebay.

Ok thanks a lot, I would get components but isnt it more then just a simple swap, dont you have to mount tweeters, run new wires and such. Ive done a lot of home wiring but never auto. Also is the cost for components the same or is it worth the price difference?

i have JL TR 5x7.. real clean sound and enough bass to make ppl look for a sub ha.
i think i paid about 165 a set... they dont fit the factory speaker hole perfectly, about .03mm gap in certain areas, but i ran some clear bath tub chaulking around the edges to seal it up

You can't run the new Kappa's off of a deck (well, you could, but not promising how long your deck is gonna last). They are 2 ohm speakers. You need an amp for 'em.
